JAPAN WATER SUPPLY DATA REPORT
SAFE AND TASTY WATER ANYTIME, ANYWHERE
Japan Water Works Association is a nonprofit foundation which performs various activities for the purpose of ensuring the propagation of water supplies and their sound development.
Today, water works are indispensable infrastructures for people's lives and social/economic activities.
The first modern water supply system was built in Yokohama in 1887 and more than one hundred years have passed since the Water Works Act was enacted in 1890.
During this period, almost all the Japanese people have been able to access water works and the mission of water supply has become more and more significant.
Water suppliers promote the efficiency of activities and the construction of facilities, in order to provide inhabitants with safe and more stable water service with an aim towards forming a affluent and prosperous society in the 21st century.
