6.Treated Water Quantity by Water Treatment Systems

The water treatment methods are divided into the following three methods, such as rapid sand filtration, slow sand filtration and only disinfection, but presently, chlorination is made obligatory for disinfection of water under all circumstances for introduction of the above treatment methods (Fig.8). And recently the advanced water treatment system by ozone-GAC treatment including membrane filtration is also introduced for water treatment system in Japan.

With the advanced water treatment system, musty odors and THMs substances that cannot be removed completely by conventional treatment system, can be completely eliminated by ozone-GAC treatment and etc. All people of water utilities in Japan are working continuously day and night to supply more safe and palatable water by using of various water treatment facilities.
